Bleeder’s Digest Guest Review by Mike Flores When the movie Fight Club begins, you see human arteries and hear the pounding music of the Dust Brothers and your heart starts to pound and it will pretty much be pounding for … Continue reading

Freak VHS
The kind you don’t bring home to mother Guest Review by Paul Freitag There are certain directors, Abel Ferrara and Gregg Araki to name two, that I have terminally mixed feelings towards. At one end, I admire what they’re trying … Continue reading
The Minus Man
Minus a plus Guest Review by Mike Flores It has been some time since we’ve had a really good serial killer movie. The success of the Scream series revived the slasher genre, but serial killer films aren’t roller coaster rides. From … Continue reading

Inspector Gadget
Go Go to Hell In essence, Disney kid flicks haven’t changed that much. Films like Inspector Gadget aren’t much different than Million Dollar Duck or The Monkey’s Uncle with several million bucks of special effects thrown in.

The Mummy
Ancient Tomb, Shallow Grave A strange twist of fate, but I like it. For years, Universal has been considering a remake of the classic Boris Karloff gothic horror romance, but couldn’t figure out what to do with it. Who’d ever … Continue reading

Faces of Gore VHS
Japan’s bloodiest home videos Before Todd Tjersland released The Necro Files, one of the most fucked up horror flicks I’ve ever seen, the twisted auteur launched his video career with this shockumentary, which has spawned several sequels. Freely acknowledging its … Continue reading
Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Bulletspotting I hardly know where to start in singing the praises of this blood-soaked but hilarious British crime comedy. A promising first feature from writer/director Guy Ritchie, it’s a non-stop joy from start to finish.

My Favorite Martian
Not MY Favorite That would of course be Devil Girl From Mars. Well, I’ll be darned, another so-so TV Land retread from Disney. How do they come up with these crazy ideas? Oh, that’s right – they just check the … Continue reading

Django/Django Strikes Again DVD
Disc of Spaghetti For most Americans, the Spaghetti Western began and ended with Sergio Leone, especially his films with Clint Eastwood. While those films are deservedly recognized as classics, they’re only a handful among hundreds of European oaters that came … Continue reading →
